MC leave, also known as medical leave or sick leave, is paid leave given to employees who are unable to work due to illness and have a valid medical certificate.
Medical leave entitlement in Malaysia may depend on length of service, employment terms and applicable employment law.
This calculator subtracts MC days used from annual medical leave entitlement.
Formula:
Remaining MC Leave = MC Entitlement - MC Days Used
If an employee is entitled to 14 days of MC and has used 5 days, the remaining MC balance is 9 days.
Medical leave is generally paid when supported by a valid medical certificate, subject to employment terms and applicable rules.
Common entitlement levels are 14, 18 or 22 days depending on length of service.
